The family in the little house had moved into the big woods around the little house. There weren’t many animals in the woods so they went to a prairie to make a living.
There was a town on the prairie, but it was far away from their new little house. Papa always bought things there so he had to spend several days on his horses that named Pat and Patty.
Sometimes some Indians came and took everything they wanted away.
They lived in the little house for only one year because the soldiers came. They had to go away again.
