 Step 1 Pre-reading  
 1.     Greeting.   
 T: Hello, boys and girls. 
 S:Hello, Miss Yin. 
 T: I’m very happy today,
because there are a lot of teachers in our class.
 
Are you happy today? 
S: Yes, we are. 
 T: Let’s say hello to the teachers. 
 S: Hello, teachers. 
 T: Today we have 14
groups. Each group has a flag. If you do well in this class, you can get a star for your group.
 
 Are you clear? 
 S: Yes. 
 T: So, in this class , youshould try your best to understand and read the story. Try to retell the story.

 Look at these sentences,can you find sth special? You can say in Chinese. 
 When we describe someone’shobbies, we usually say   like doing…

           You can guess: You like…ing.

 Step 2 While- reading 
 1. Listen and choose. 
 T:Just now we talked about hobbies. Mike is talking hobbies too. 
     What are Mike’s hobbies? Let’s listen and choose. (听课文第一段录音) 
S:Mike likes playing basketball and football.(板书basketball  football) 
   He likes drawing too.(板书画画) 
 2. Read and answer. 
 T:Can Mike play basketball well? Can Mike play football well?

说课: 
       课前,将学生4个人分成一组,每组中各个层次的学生都有,这样会使全部小组形成平衡,使各个小组进行合理竞争。每个小组发一面小红旗,如果学生在课堂上表现优秀,便会为本组的小红旗争得一颗星。这种激励方式不但调动了学生学习的积极性,还培养了学生团队合作的精神。 
      上课伊始,全班共同欣赏一首关于英文歌曲,由于旋律优美,歌词简单,学生都能跟着后面唱,为学生营造了良好的学习英语的氛围。歌曲的歌词与本节课课题密切相关,自然而然就引出了课题<Hobbies>。接着带领学生朗读歌词,初步感受like doing sth这一句型,引导学生自己去发现like后面要接动名词这一语法现象。为课文的学习扫清语法障碍。学生了解这一语法现象之后,趁热打铁,让学生猜测老师的爱好,让这一句型得到操练。在揭晓答案时,引出生词also. 
      在语篇学习阶段,先通过听的方式选出Mike的爱好,再通过读课文回答问题的方式,进一步了解Mike的爱好。同时教授词汇be good at, with。在充分了解Mike爱好的基础上,让学生通过看卡通巩固上一段所学内容,整体感知语篇,并找出主要人物。接着通过合作阅读的方式获取Mike朋友们爱好的相关信息。合作阅读降低了学习的难度,无论成绩好、差,人人都能参与,学生间互帮互助,学生在活动时被一种积极的情感所支配,大大激发参与课堂学习的热情。组合作学习给一些内向胆小的学生一段缓冲的时间,避免当场答错的尴尬,在代表本组展示成果时,由于有了先前充分的准备,学生能放松、大胆地展示自我,体验成功的快乐,从而树立自信。在与学生校对答案的过程中,共同学习新词汇:read
stories, piano, film,
both.在完成表格后,引导学生根据表格信息介绍Mike朋友们的爱好,训练学生的表达能力。 
      朗读时,要求学生尽可能模仿录音的语音语调语气;小组合作阅读时,为学生提供多种朗读方式,学生可以根据自己的喜好选择喜好的朗读方式,激发学生的朗读兴趣。再熟练朗读的基础上,鼓励学生复述课文,要求四人小组合作,每人复述一幅图。这样每个学生在小组里都有机会展示自己,加快了教学的节奏,加强了训练密度和广度。 
       在最后的拓展环节,首先要求学生调查本组成员的兴趣爱好,在由本组的一个代表进行汇报。这个话题与学生的生活有着密切的联系,学生有兴趣,有话可说,学生运用所学语言、表达方式进行真实而自然的交流,有效地输出语言和运用语言,使课堂学习从文本走向生活。
